Paperless in Paris

“Derby based design and marketing agency, threeguru, have been keeping their feet firmly on the ground in the build up to the 51st Paris Airshow – the world’s oldest and largest of its kind.

With the biennial show expected to top 315,000 visitors, our creative and digital gurus have worked closely with the Aerospace divisions of Senior Plc to deliver an engaging iPad app that serves to eliminate the need for printed brochures on stand – a useful return on investment when you consider that Senior Plc is an international manufacturing group that employs 7,600 staff spanning 14 countries.

Paperless in Paris – Senior Plc’s aerospace division Ipad Application allows exhibitors to the Paris Air Show to filter access to over 20 group companies.

The Ipad application allows visitors onto the Senior Aerospace stand to browse by company, location and capabilities and seamlessly integrates the use of digital media to access and download both a brochure and view a video overview of each business.

According to Alan Jones, European Business Development Manager for two of Senior’s US based operations, the drive towards a paperless stand has been well received across all levels of Senior Plc.

“With over 20 companies manufacturing a variety of engine, airframe and structural components within the aerospace sector, the ability to filter information and download relevant content at the touch of a button will serve to improve the visitor experience in the highly competitive commercial aerospace and defence sectors.”

With so many brochures discarded before a visitor has even left the exhibition hall, the decision to go paperless and develop an ipad application that captures tangible customer enquiries may end up proving very a smart decision indeed.
