The whole team from East Midlands creative agency, threeguru, have signed themselves up for an astronomical challenge for Nottingham based charity, When You Wish Upon A Star.
After raising nearly £1500 by sleeping rough for a night for YMCA Derbyshire, just three months ago, the threeguru team are ready to take on their next challenge for charity.
The guru’s are going to be taking on the mighty Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on the 1st September 2018. The Derbyshire Creatives will be taking on the three biggest mountains in Yorkshire, covering 24 Miles and 5200 ft of ascent. This challenge has to be completed in under 12 hours.
The team hope that by putting themselves through such a dominating challenge they will be able to raise vital funds for When You Wish Upon A Star, which is a charity close to the teams’ hearts.
When You Wish Upon A Star has a simple mission, to grant the Wishes of children living with a life-threatening illness. Wishes granted allows families to put their child’s illness on hold as they have fun and create precious memories, that will stay with them forever.
The peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The team from the East Midlands creative agency will be trekking up and down each of the mountains; Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, with a gruelling 4 mile walk back to the starting position afterwards.
The East Midlands creative agency are going to be putting themselves in a position of strenuous inclines, testing terrain, and demanding distances, all through relentless exhaustion, in order to provide support for the East Midlands charity, helping them to grant the wishes of sick children.
Any donations received would be a great support and go towards making poorly children’s dreams come true. £50 will buy a Disney princess outfit, £70 A day with ponies and a riding lesson, £100 Theatre Tickets to a West End Show and £900 will pay for a child and guardian to spend a magical day in Lapland and meet the real father Christmas.

Johanna told me she would love to go to Florida to meet all her favourite characters, so I started fundraising for the family to have a trip of a lifetime, but sadly during this time Johanna’s health deteriorated and her Wish could not be granted as this brave little girl passed away.
