Creative marriage made in Derby

Derby based graphic designers threeguru are delighted to welcome Luke Byfield to Guru Towers as the newest member of its creative team.

Luke will be graduating from Derby University with a BA (hons) in Graphic design in a few short weeks and joins straight after completing his final year project.

Speaking of their latest recruit, Creative Guru Chris Reynolds enthused,

“Luke is hoping to achieve first class honours and has wasted no time impressing the graphic designers at Threeguru with his programme knowledge and fresh creative thinking.”
“We would all like to wish Luke the best in this, his first step in his graphic design career. I fully expect him to develop into a valuable member of the threeguru team over the coming years.”


A creative marriage made in heaven – Threeguru’s Creative Director, Chris Reynolds attempts to carry Luke Byfield across the freshhold at guru towers!

Speaking on his seamless migration from education to employment Luke had this to say about his appointment.

“I am relishing the opportunity to work for threeguru. The guys and girls have all been very welcoming and their client list really impressed me, particularly their creative involvement with Liverpool Football Club.

“I have been a fan for as long as I can remember and I can’t wait for an opportunity to work on this and threeguru’s other exciting portfolio of client accounts.”

Threeguru were recent visitors to the University of Derby College of Arts as part of a portfolio appraisal session organised by Art & Design Senior Lecturer Tracy Allanson-Smith. Tracy also runs the Friends in Design Facebook Community which welcomes interest from local and national design agencies.

In the run up to their final submission piece threeguru co owners Lee Day and Luke Sherwin offered some considered words of wisdom to the 3rd year graphic design students and their timely visit was well received by the students according to Allanson-Smith.

“Thank you both for your time this morning, it is so helpful to us and the students objectives of becoming fully fledged graphic designers. They have been boosted by your presence and are more confident about their work as a result.”
