Retrac Group, a brand synonymous with aerospace, automotive and Formula 1 has commissioned Derby based design and marketing agency threeguru to carry out a brand refresh. The brand overhaul will see a new suite of logos and a set of responsive websites developed during the last quarter of 2015.
The Swindon based advanced manufacturing solutions company, comprising Retrac Productions and Retrac Composites were seeking to unify their on and offline marketing and PR activity as part of a sustained period of collective growth.
Work and recruitment has been ongoing since late 2014 as The Retrac Group seeks to expand its current 50,000 sq ft manufacturing facility and capabilities with up to £2million of investment into its machining and production facilities.
The new corporate identity represents an evolution of the current Retrac Composites logo which has been in use since 1998 and a complete revamp for its sister company Retrac Productions who’s previous logo had existed for over 4 decades.
Ian Drew, Project Director of Retrac Composites, commented on an exciting period of change “Historically we’ve never been proactive with our marketing and PR activity. With key growth opportunities in the aerospace and automotive sectors we felt this was the perfect time to galvanise the collective reach of our brand.”
The new look will be launched to coincide with the UK’s largest annual gathering of manufacturers and supply chain companies at The Advanced Engineering Show, NEC, 4 – 5 November 2015.

“The Retrac Group of companies success is based on years of experience, so naturally rebranding was not something they entered into lightly. Whilst refreshing the brand’s visual identity to convey innovation, we’ve also consciously retained elements of the existing livery and colour palettes to reflect their years of experience. The new logos are driven by a clean, corporate sans serif font, with a fresh, dynamic variation of the ‘machining lines and composite layers’ icon seen on the previous marque”
Threeguru’s creative approach will also extend to a new photography portfolio and corporate video to create an engaging web presence.
